9 DAYS SERENGETI SAFARI

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Upon your arrival in Tanzania, you will be greeted by your guide at the airport and transferred to your accommodation. The first day is usually a rest day, allowing you to acclimate to the new environment and prepare for the exciting safari ahead. You can relax, enjoy the lodge amenities, and perhaps take a leisurely stroll around the lodge’s surroundings.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will set off on your safari adventure, heading to Tarangire National Park. Known for its large population of elephants, Tarangire offers breathtaking landscapes dotted with baobab trees. You will embark on game drives to explore the park, spotting various wildlife species such as lions, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. You will spend the night at a lodge or campsite within or near the park.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
On the third day, you will visit Lake Manyara National Park. This compact park is famous for its diverse birdlife, including pink flamingos that inhabit the lake. In addition to the birdwatching opportunities, you can also encounter tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos, and buffalos. After a full day of game drives, you will return to your lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4-5: Serengeti National Park (Central Serengeti)
These two days will be dedicated to exploring the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. You will focus on the central region of the park, which is known for its abundant wildlife and beautiful landscapes. The Serengeti is home to the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles cross the plains in search of fresh grazing lands. You will have the opportunity to witness this spectacular natural phenomenon and also spot predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Accommodation will be provided at a lodge or campsite in the central Serengeti.

Day 6-7: Serengeti National Park (Northern Serengeti)
Continuing your exploration of the Serengeti, you will move to the northern region of the park. This area is known for its river crossings during the Great Migration and offers excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. You may witness thrilling encounters between the migrating herds and crocodiles lurking in the rivers. The northern Serengeti is also renowned for its high concentration of big cats. After exhilarating game drives, you will spend the nights at a lodge or campsite in the northern Serengeti.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Leaving the Serengeti behind, you will venture into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders. The crater is a self-contained ecosystem that supports an incredible array of wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, and numerous bird species. After a full day of game viewing, you will ascend from the crater and spend the night at a lodge or campsite on the crater rim.

Day 9: Departure or Extension
On the final day of your safari, you will either prepare for your flight back home or have the option to extend your safari. If you choose to extend, you can explore other attractions in Tanzania, such as the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar or the cultural experiences offered in Arusha. Alternatively, you can transfer to the airport for your departure, carrying unforgettable memories of your incredible 9-day Serengeti safari experience.
